The productivity conclusions reached by Karen Kornbluh Karen Kornbluh (b. 1963) is an American economist, former United States Treasury Department official, and expert on communications policy, international trade and issues affecting working families. She is currently policy director for U.S. Senator Barack Obama.  in her article ("Disconnect disconnect - SCSI reconnect : How Bush and Michael Powell Are Killing the New Economy and How to Turn it Around," October 2001) are questionable. Although the overall economy is faltering, it is not clear that productivity is falling. In fact, quite the opposite may be true. At the tops of bubbles bubbles
