. That includes the cargo hatch latch mechanism on your Bradley.

When enough sand gets inside the mechanism, it's nearly impossible to use the latch handle to open the cargo hatch. Some frustrated crewmen have even tried using a hammer, only to break off the handle.

It's a good idea to clean out the mechanism regularly with compressed air. Work the handle back and forth to operate the latch while blowing out sand. Just make sure you're wearing safety goggles goggles,

If the latch mechanism's already too jammed with sand, tell your mechanic. He'll disassemble dis·as·sem·ble
