Bloomberg ExpoVillage -- A New Attraction for Golf Fans at FedEx St. Jude Classic, Memphis, Tenn.

PRINCETON, N.J.--(BW SportsWire)--June 16, 2000

Bloomberg ExpoVillage(TM), a new interactive consumer pavilion designed to entertain and educate golf fans, will open at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, TPC (Transaction Processing Performance Council, San Francisco, CA, www.tpc.org) An organization devoted to benchmarking transaction processing systems. In order to derive the number of transactions that can be processed in a given time frame, TPC benchmarks measure the total performance of  at Southwind, Memphis, Tenn., and run throughout the tournament, June 21-25, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For the first time at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, visitors will experience interactive product displays, exhibits on finance, travel and golf-related entertainment, all under one tent. Admission is free to tournament ticket holders.

Activities will include long drive and closest-to-the-pin contests at the golf simulator featuring the new Nike Golf balls, a putting challenge, and golf equipment demonstrations. In addition, there will be live coverage of the tournament, current financial news updates from Bloomberg, contests, giveaways and drawings for free prizes. Visitors will also be able to see and hear radio station WREC-AM broadcast live on Thursday and Friday mornings, beginning at 5:30 a.m.

Located near the clubhouse between the practice putting green and the first green, the large climate-controlled tent was designed specifically for 10 select stops on the PGA Tour The PGA Tour is an organization that operates the USA's main professional golf tours. It is headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA. Its name is officially rendered in all caps as “PGA TOUR".  and Senior PGA Tour.
