Blonder Tongue Announces ``DPC Link'' -- High Speed Internet Solutions for Multiple Dwelling Units.

OLD BRIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 30, 1999--Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc. (AMEX:BDR), announces the release of High Speed Internet Solutions for Multiple Dwelling Units via DirecPC(TM) or DPC Link. This latest addition to the Blonder Tongue product line promises to have the franchise and private cable industry offering the fastest Internet service available nationwide.

The DPC Link is designed to receive the Hughes Network Systems DirecPC satellite Internet services from a single DirecPC antenna and distribute the signal to multiple subscribers making it ideal for Multiple Dwelling Unit distributions systems. After reception, the downlink signal is delivered to the subscriber via a fiber optic or coaxial cable distribution system. The subscriber does not need a satellite receiver of their own to get the service. The signal is sent directly through the existing cable to the subscriber upconverter and to a DirecPC PCI computer card or USB adapter. The DirecPC service offers the fastest Internet access available nationwide. At 400 Kbps, it is more than 3 times an ISDN line (128 Kbps) and 7 times faster than a standard 56K modem, making DirecPC an Internet computer user's dream.
