I enjoyed Liz Pape's article ("From Bricks to Clicks: Blurring Classroom/Cyber Lines") in the August issue.

, in 2003, we made sure we blended learning in a hybrid environment and feel fortunate we did. Computers are not a panacea. They have the same limitations that print has.

Pape's article offered superb reinforcement for blending print and digital contents. Only through this approach can a student start to get a multimodal Two or more modes of operation. The term is used to refer to a myriad of functions and conditions in which two or more different methods, processes or forms of delivery are used. On the Web, it refers to asking for something one way and receiving the answer another; for example requesting  experience. The next logical step is the prescriptive delivery of learning objects to meet the individual needs of students.
