Blaze man fight for life.


Byline: By JOHN FALLON John Fallon (born Cambuslang, 1940) was a goalkeeper for Celtic F.C., who was a member of the famous Lisbon Lions of 1967.

Fallon was taken on as a junior by Celtic, and soon was promoted to cover for the famous eccentric keeper Frank Haffey.
 

A MAN was fighting for his life last night after a house fire.

He was one of two men, both in their 40s, taken to hospital.

One of the men, who is from Spiddal Spiddal (Irish: An Spidéal) is a village on the shore of Galway Bay in County Galway in the Republic of Ireland. The town is 12 miles west of Galway city on the R336 road.  in Co Gal-way, is out of danger.

But the other man, believed to be from another part of Co Galway, was transferred to hospital in Dublin with serious burns.

The fire broke out after 4am in a two-storey house outside Spiddal.

A Garda spokesman said: "Most of the occupants managed to get out but two were brought to hospital with burn injuries."
