COLUMN: TEN THINGS TO DO

Melding offbeat electro-pop rhythms and eccentric, understated vocals, Boston's Technoir has a sound that's both modern and strangely retro, reaching back to New Wave influences with Tom Tom Club instrumentation and a voice that has a touch of Morrisey in it. The result is a musical dervish dervish (dûr`vĭsh), see fakir; Rumi, Jalal ad-Din.
