Blair Importers is chosen Gambrinus Pilsner's U.S. agent.

Blair Importers, Ltd.'s executive vice president Alan Shayne, announced the appointment of his company by Beauvignot International, Inc., as national distributor of Czechoslovakia's Gambrinus beer.

"We are very pleased to add Gambrinus beer to our beer portfolio," Shayne said. "Gambrinus, one of the world's best tasting beers, is produced in Pilsen, Czechoslovakia, where pilsner-style beer originated. The Gambrinus Brewery was established in 1869, and today is a state-of-the-art facility.

"Gambrinus was introduced in the U.S. in 1990," Shayne continued, "and has become one of America's fastest-growing imported beers. It is now in 15 markets nationally and we expect full national distribution during 1992."

Blair Importers also recently launched Russia's Ruski beer, Shayne reported.
