Blackwell acquires Le Jacq Communications.


Blackwell Publishing (Malden, MA) has acquired the assets of medical journal and book publisher Le Jacq Communications (Darien, CT). No terms of the deal were given. Blackwell said it will develop new medical education products and enhance the list of current Le Jacq journals, clinical trial review books, continuing medical education continuing medical education See CME.  projects and online offerings. Blackwell was advised in the deal by Eugene Simonoff & Associates, Inc. (New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of

Le Jacq produced six quarterly journals, including "The American Heart Hospital Journal," "The American Journal of Geriatric Cardiology," "Congestive Heart Failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body. In the healthy individual the heart can tolerate large increases of workload for a considerable length of time. ," "Journal of the Cardiometabolic Syndrome," "Preventive Cardiology" and "Progress in Cardiovascular Nursing," the monthly title "The Journal of Clinical Hypertension," and "SkinMed," published six times a year.

Le Jacq also publishes medical and medical fiction books and five medical trial reviews, and produces CME CME
