At CITGO Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Whitney was employed for over 40 years as a General Manager in various aspects of CITGO's operations. He also is the former President of CITGO Pipeline Company and former Chairman of the Board of Colonial Pipeline Colonial Pipeline, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, delivers a daily average of 100 million gallons (398 million liters) of gasoline, home heating oil, aviation fuel and other refined petroleum products to communities and businesses throughout the South and Eastern United  Company. Herb Whitney began his career at CITGO in 1966 after serving three years in the United States Air Force United States Air Force (USAF)
