The Russell 2000 serves as a benchmark for small-cap stocks in the United States. is developed to provide a comprehensive and unbiased small-cap barometer of the U.S. equity market and is completely reconstituted on an annual basis. Russell produces a family of 21 U.S. equity indexes, which are used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies.
