SAN DIEGO -- Black-tie events may be back on the rise, according to recent data from Kintera(R) Inc. (NASDAQ:KNTA). After declining numbers in recent years, the company reports that the number of black-tie events in New York and Los Angeles is increasing in 2005.

According to Kintera, there are 32.7 percent more black-tie events taking place in Los Angeles this year than in 2004. Black-tie events in New York are also on the rise. There is a 22.6 percent increase in the number of black-tie events occurring in New York this year, compared to last year's total.
