But for the highly anticipated September issue of i-D magazine, they found not just one, but four Black supermodelS--ArlenisSosa, Chanel Iman Chanel Iman Robinson[1] (born November 30 1989) is a Korean/African-American model[2]. Robinson was born in Atlanta, United States to half African-American half Korean mother China Robinson and African American father. , Jour-dan Dunn and Sessilee Lopez--to grace the magazine's cover. And none of them is Naomi Campbell Naomi Campbell (born May 22 1970) is an English supermodel, actress, singer, and author of Jamaican descent. Biography Campbell was born in London, England. Her mother, Valerie, was a ballet dancer of Jamaican heritage, who told Arena ! Count it as a big step for the fashion industry, if a very small one for women of color not of the white race; - commonly meaning, esp. in the United States, of negro blood, pure or mixed.
