Black buying power to top $1 trillion.


African American consumers continue to be a major viable market segment, say researchers. Black buying power was $913 billion as of 2008 and is expected to top $1.2 trillion in 2013, according to the Selig Center for Economic Growth at the University of Georgia, which defines it as after-tax personal income not including borrowed money or previous savings.
