The Air France Air France
in full Compagnie Internationale Air France

French passenger and cargo airline with more than 200 destinations in some 80 countries. It introduced supersonic Concorde service in 1976, but financial loss led the company to cease its Concorde
airbus crashed on June 1 on a flight from Rio de Janeiro to Paris. All 228 people on board were killed.

France's air accident investigation agency said the ship that had been searching for the black box had left the area of the crash and was due to arrive in Dakar, Senegal, yesterday.

They said the underwater hunt for the flight recorder "has finished" but added that more searches could be launched.
