Black adults most likely to be divorced.


The news:

A controversial billboard on Rush Street drew complaints over its slogan A slogan is a memorable motto or phrase used in a political, commercial, religious and other context as a repetitive expression of an idea or purpose.

Slogans vary from the written and the visual to the chanted and the vulgar.
: "Life's short. Get a divorce." The ad, placed by Chicago attorney Corri Fetman, was taken down just days after it debuted on May 1. But it has gotten a second life with truck-mounted ads.

More than 11 percent of African Americans were divorced, and nearly 31 percent were married. Another 45 percent of black people had never married, the highest of any racial or ethnic group, according to the census report.
