Black Duck Software Expands Senior Management Team With Three New Vice Presidents.

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Joining to Help Manage Company's Growth are Kat McCabe as VP and General Counsel, Chris MacKenzie as VP of Marketing and Chander Khanna as VP of Business Development

Black Duck Software, the leading provider of software compliance management solutions, today announced the appointment of three new members to its executive team. Kat McCabe joins Black Duck as Vice President and General Counsel, Chris MacKenzie joins the Company as Vice President of Marketing and Chander Khanna joins as Vice President of Business Development. By adding these three executives, Black Duck strengthens its management team with industry veterans whose combined 55 years of technology experience will help accelerate the Company through its next phase of growth.

McCabe brings to Black Duck significant legal and business experience in emerging technologies and software licensing. Prior to joining Black Duck Software, McCabe was General Counsel for Kodak Imaging Network (formerly Ofoto, Inc.) where she helped establish and implement that company's intellectual property, partnership, product and operational strategies. She also managed all legal matters in support of the company's Internet-based and mobile photography businesses in the US and Europe. Earlier she was a licensing associate for Fenwick and West, LLP, where she counseled clients on copyright issues and negotiated software-related transactions, including development, licensing, sales and distribution deals for public and private technology and e-commerce companies.

Chris MacKenzie, Black Duck's new Vice President of Marketing, has a long record of successful high technology marketing experience. Most recently, he was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Biscom, a software company specializing in enterprise document delivery solutions. In that role, Chris was a key member of the company's executive management team, responsible for launching several software and hardware products. Prior to that, MacKenzie was a Vice President at Bear Stearns, an investment banking and securities trading firm, where he was responsible for the development and management of bond trading systems.

Chander Khanna joins Black Duck Software with over 25 years of experience in deploying enterprise solutions and software systems and providing technology services. Most recently, he was Vice President and General Manager for a set of Unisys open source and proprietary solutions. Prior to that, Chander was Worldwide Vice President of Marketing of Unisys' Windows, open source software and Linux businesses, where he established many strategic partnerships for the company, including those with Red Hat, Suse/Novell, JBOSS, Microsoft, BEA, Intel and others. He has held numerous senior positions in start-ups, mid-size and large companies, including HP, Lucent and Stratus.
