Black Country News: Man jailed for attack on girlfriend.A MAN who threw a TV set at his girlfriend's head before hitting her with a metal bar after she accused him of having an affair has been jailed for a year. Recorder Jonathan Gosling told 28-year-old Andrew Hornsby at Wolverhampton Crown Court: "This is not the first time you have set about your girlfriend. You had a warning shot from the courts to help you and plainly it did not work." The court heard that Hornsby attacked Lindsay Bishop, his partner for three-and-a half-years, after losing his temper. Timothy Hannam, prosecuting, said he punched her in the face and pulled out a chunk of her hair before putting his hands around her throat.
