Black Country News: Man jailed for attack on girlfriend.


A MAN who threw a TV set at his girlfriend's head before hitting her with a metal bar after she accused him of having an affair has been jailed for a year. Recorder Jonathan Gosling told 28-year-old Andrew Hornsby at Wolverhampton Crown Court: "This is not the first time you have set about your girlfriend. You had a warning shot from the courts to help you and plainly it did not work."

The court heard that Hornsby attacked Lindsay Bishop, his partner for three-and-a half-years, after losing his temper.

Timothy Hannam, prosecuting, said he punched her in the face and pulled out a chunk of her hair before putting his hands around her throat. He then threw the TV, which hit her in the face, before picking up the metal bar, leaving her with serious bruising and swelling. Robert Price Robert Price may refer to:
