Black Country News: Avoid the carnival capers, drivers told; WEDNESBURY.

 clear of potential traffic problems during Wednesbury Carnival carnival, communal celebration, especially the religious celebration in Catholic countries that takes place just before Lent. Since early times carnivals have been accompanied by parades, masquerades, pageants, and other forms of revelry that had their origins in  tomorrow.

A number of roads in the town will be closed between 9am and 3pm to allow the carnival fun to go ahead.

Camphill Lane and Camp Street will initially be shut from 9am to noon.

Roads on the carnival parade route, including Camphill Lane from its junction with Loxdale Street to the junction with Camp Street and Camp Street from Camphill Lane to Shambles, will then be closed between noon and 3pm.

Drivers are also urged to look out for a number of temporary parking restrictions which will be in force tomorrow in the Wednesbury area.
