Black Box Corporation Introduces Master Technician Training Program.

Black Box Corporation (Nasdaq:BBOX) today launched its Master Technician Training Program, which will certify veteran Black Box technicians above and beyond current industry standards for the design, installation, and maintenance of computer network infrastructures throughout the United States.

"This program enables us to provide a higher level of service to our customers than anyone else in the market today," says Jim Courtney, President of Black Box Network Services -- Cincinnati Operations, where the first Master Technician training classes are under way. "The Master Technician Training Program, exclusive to Black Box technicians, goes beyond what is currently available to infrastructure service providers, setting Black Box apart from the competition in network infrastructure services." In the future, classes will be held at other Black Box Master Technician training centers as well.

Skilled on-site infrastructure technicians, who are already certified by BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International), will train under instructors who are RCDDs (Registered Communications Distribution Designers), BICSI certified, and Black Box Master Technicians. Curriculum includes lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on experience. Upon completion of the class, technicians must pass a written exam to receive Master Technician certification.
