Black Box Corporation Establishes Subsidiary Operations in the Nordic Region of Sweden, Norway and Finland.

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 2001

Black Box Corporation (Nasdaq:BBOX) today announced that it has established wholly-owned operations in Sweden, Norway and Finland. As part of this market expansion, Black Box has acquired the operations of its distribution partner that held the authorized Black Box trademark distribution rights. Annual revenues of Black Box in this region will approximate $8 million.

Commenting on the merger, Roger E.M. Croft, Vice President of Europe and Latin America for Black Box Corporation, said, "The establishment of Black Box subsidiary operations for technical phone services in this region is the first step towards offering Nordic customers the full range of our technical services. The Nordic region is a very important part of Europe and we are confident of rapid and prosperous growth in this area."

This transaction is being accounted for as a purchase. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
