Black Box Corporation Announces Merger With TeleAce Communication Pte Ltd - On-Site Operations Now Established in Thirteen Countries -.

Black Box Corporation (Nasdaq:BBOX) today announced a merger with TeleAce Communication Pte Ltd. Established in 1993 in Singapore, privately held TeleAce provides technical design, installation and maintenance services for premise cabling and related products to customers throughout Singapore. Annual revenues of TeleAce are approximately $1 million.

Commenting on the merger, Francis Wertheimber, Vice President Pacific Rim/Far East, said, "The thought of raising Black Box's first on-site services flag in Southeast Asia is exciting. This merger will provide us with the opportunity to expand into new markets of significant strategic importance."

TeleAce will change its name to Black Box Network Services - Singapore Operations. Mr. Thien will continue to serve as Managing Director, reporting to Mr. Wertheimber.

This merger brings Black Box a step closer to its goal of offering complementary on-site services to all of its clients throughout the world. Singapore now joins Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States as the thirteenth country where Black Box offers clients both phone and on-site technical support services.

This transaction is being accounted for as a purchase. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
