Black Box Corporation Announces Merger With AB Lofamatic; On-Site Operations Now Established In Nine Countries.

Black Box Corporation (Nasdaq:BBOX) today announced a merger with AB Lofamatic. Established in 1960 in Stockholm, Sweden, privately held Lofamatic provides technical design, installation and maintenance services for premise cabling and infrastructure systems to customers throughout Sweden. Annual revenues of Lofamatic are approximately $5 million.

Commenting on the merger, Norbert Ramondt, Director of Black Box European Operations, said, "Lofamatic has a high technical reputation and provides a wide range of infrastructure services to some of Sweden's biggest companies. Sweden represents the largest market in Scandinavia and is the ninth country where Black Box now has on-site operations joining Belgium, France, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States."

Vincent Sorli, Managing Director of Lofamatic, said, "Black Box has built a worldwide capability for network services and we are very proud to be the first on-site network services provider in Scandinavia. We are looking forward to working with other Black Box operations to develop on-site services across the entire Nordic Region." Lofamatic will operate as Black Box Network Services -- Stockholm Operations. Mr. Sorli will continue to serve as Managing Director, reporting to Mr. Ramondt.

This transaction is being accounted for as a purchase. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
