Black Box Corporation Announces Election of New Directors.


PITTSBURGH -- Black Box Corporation (Nasdaq:BBOX) announced today that, at its Annual Meeting of Stockholders held on August 10, 2004, Richard L. Crouch and Edward A. Nicholson, Ph.D. were elected to serve their first terms as directors of the company.

Mr. Crouch had been a General Partner with the firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  from 1979 until his retirement in July, 2004. While at PwC, Mr. Crouch served as an Audit Partner assigned to principally public companies. He also served in various capacities for his previous firm, including service as a regional accounting, auditing and SEC services consultant.

Dr. Nicholson has served as President of Robert Morris University Robert Morris' sports teams are nicknamed the Colonials and the school colors are blue and white. The Colonials compete in NCAA Division I (Division I-AA in football). The most well-known athlete to come out of Robert Morris University is Hank Fraley of the Cleveland Browns of the NFL.  since 1989. He has also served more than 25 businesses and government agencies as a consultant in the areas of long-range planning, organization design and labor relations. He has published numerous articles and co-authored three books on these topics. In addition to serving on the Black Box Board, he is a director of publicly-held Shopsmith Inc. He is also a director of several regional economic, charitable and cultural organizations.

In addition to the election of Mr. Crouch and Dr. Nicholson, other directors re-elected to the Board include William F. Andrews William F. Andrews (born January, 1946) in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Andrews previously served as a Representative in the House of Representatives of the U.S. state of Florida. It should also be noted that he currently lives in Delray Beach, Florida with his family.
