The Welsh group was formed by school friends James, Nicky Wire, Sean Moore and Richey James Edwards in 1986, but Richey mysteriously disappeared in 1995 after checking out of his London hotel room. James, 38, says: "It really is for the four of us. It's another one of those moments that is bittersweet for us because we realise once more we'll be collecting an award just the three of us when really it should be the four." The singer said the group would not have won the award if it weren't for Richey's involvement in their acclaimed third album, The Holy Bible. |
