I'VE told my friends and employer I'm going to register as an alcoholic. This seems very sensible as I will then not be discriminated against for being a single male taxpayer who has worked for more than 40 years.

I shall get money every week for not working, plus a nice flat with as much financial assistance as I could possibly wish for. It is quite expensive paying rent but, because I actually earn money, I'm not entitled en·ti·tle

 to what an alcoholic gets free. When are the silent majority going to tell politicians it is our money they spend, and it should be spent on us, not people who don't pay taxes? I'm a nurse who has worked in the addiction field and I cringe cringe
