One bad sound bite sound bite
n.
A brief statement, as by a politician, taken from an audiotape or videotape and broadcast especially during a news report: "The box has been spitting forth maddening nine-second sound bites" 
 is enough to sink a presidential candidate (remember John Kerry's disastrous remark "I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it"?.). Fortunately for the current crop of 2008 contenders, the following comments were made off-the-record. Oops.

"I'm the cutest candidate, so I've got the gays, but tell Bruce Weber Bruce Weber may refer to:
