Bishop Resources Inc. ("the Company") is pleased to report assay results for the first four holes of a recently completed ten hole drilling program on the Scotia Scotia (skō`shə), originally the Latin name for Ireland. In the Middle Ages, it was used to refer to Scotland, to which the Scots had migrated from Ireland. Today it is used poetically.  volcanogenic vol·ca·no·gen·ic

Of volcanic origin.
massive sulphide sulphide: see sulfide.  project, situated 50 km. southeast of Prince Rupert, British Columbia For other uses, see Prince Rupert (disambiguation).

Prince Rupert is a port city in the province of British Columbia, Canada. It is the land, air, and water transportation hub of British Columbia's north coast, and home to some 12,815 people (Statistics Canada, 2006).
. The property was acquired by way of an option agreement with Falconbridge Limited in early 1997.

Previous diamond drilling Diamond Drilling is a highly specialized industry used for mineral exploration around the world. Most commonly using wireline and core bits with diamond encrusted matrix. To drill holes to max depths of twelve thousand feet, for the recovery of core used in verifying mineral  was conducted by Texas Gulf Sulphur Co., and three successor companies between 1960 and 1988. Falconbridge (1989) reports; "previous drilling tested the Scotia deposit, a volocanogenic massive sulphide occurence, and outlined drill inferred reserves of 187,000 metric tons grading 11.8 percent zinc, 1.3 percent lead and 20 g/t silver with 21 drill holes having an aggregate length of 2634 meters".

Disseminated disseminated /dis·sem·i·nat·ed/ (-sem´i-nat?ed) scattered; distributed over a considerable area.

dis·sem·i·nat·ed
adj.
Spread over a large area of a body, a tissue, or an organ.
, semi massive and massive base metal (zinc and lead and copper) intersections were observed in nine of the ten holes completed. Analytical results for the first four inclined holes, which were drilled from two sites, are contained in the following Table. Results for the remaining six holes are expected shortly and an updated resource calculation will be completed subsequently. -0-

Holes S33-97 and S36-97 were drilled from the same set-up on an azimuth azimuth (ăz`əməth), in astronomy, one coordinate in the altazimuth coordinate system. It is the angular distance of a body measured westward along the celestial horizon from the observer's south point.  of 70 degrees with dips of negative 66 degrees and negative 77 degrees respectively, midway between sections previously drilled by Texas Gulf, and were intended to test the continuity of the zone both along strike and down-dip. S33-97 intersected 21.4 metres with weighted average grades of 6.7 percent zinc, 1.1 percent lead, 25.9 ppm (Pages Per Minute) The measurement of printer speed. See gppm.

 gold.

As noted in the accompanying table, this intersection includes three intervals of markedly higher zinc grades to 22.6 percent. and gold values to 1206 ppb. Hole S36-97, designed to test the zone 20 metres down-dip from the hole S33-97 intersection, encountered three intervals ranging in length from 1.8 to 15.3 meters that contained zinc grades (up to 42.1 percent) and other metal values similar to those obtained in S33-97.

Holes S34-97 and S35-97 were drilled from a set-up 40 metres north of the S33-97 and S36-97 site. The holes dip negative 66 degrees and negative 45 degrees respectively and S34-97 intersected a 0.4 metre section grading 18.7 percent zinc plus lead and silver values (see Table). S35-97, more shallowly inclined, encountered altered and pyritized volcanics and may have been drilled above the main massive sulphide lens.

A sample audit program was undertaken by Bishop to verify analytical results. Selected pulps were sent to two independent Vancouver based laboratories and results were duplicated to acceptable levels.

Encouraged by it's exploration efforts, Bishop initiated an off-property 200 square kilometre Square kilometre (U.S. spelling: square kilometer), symbol km², is a decimal multiple of the SI unit of surface area, the square metre, one of the SI derived units. 1 km² is equal to:
