Birthday memory of mum Lynne.A DAY of fundraising
Joanne Norbury is organising events this Saturday, in memory of sister-in-law Lynne Devaney. Joanne said: "Lynne would have been 40 this year and to start we will release 40 balloons. "Her son Billy, eight, will be there. It's important for him we keep her memory alive, and that's part of what this is all about." After the balloons have been released 60 women will set off on a sponsored seven-mile walk from Shotton Lane Club. Later there will a charity football match and a disco disco Style of dance music that arose in the mid-1970s, characterized by hypnotic rhythm, repetitive lyrics, and electronically produced sounds. Disco (short for discotheque) evolved largely from New York City underground nightclubs, in which disc jockeys would play dance and curry night will be held at the club, with a live band. Money raised will go to the cancer unit at the Countess of Chester Countess of Chester may mean:
Joanne said: "The treatment she received was really good, but the cancer was just too far advanced. "She was popular in the community and a lot of people have been really keen to get involved." Places are still available on the sponsored walk, with a donation of pounds 5 to take part, and tickets for the disco, curry night and live band cost pounds 6.
