Birmingham Utilities, Inc., announced today the election of two new members to its Board of Directors at the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders held on May 10 at its principal offices in Ansonia.

Birmingham Utilities, Inc. is pleased to welcome both Mary Jane Burt of Hamden and Michael J. Adanti of Ansonia. Retiring members of the Board of Directors, Edward G. Brickett of Derby with 21 years of service to the Company and Stephen P. Ahern of North Haven North Haven, town (1990 pop. 22,249), New Haven co., S Conn., on the Quinnipiac River; settled c.1650, set off from New Haven 1786. Chiefly residential, it has some manufactures, such as aircraft parts, tools, chemicals, and machinery. , with 6 years of service, were honored by the Company.

Mr. Adanti's appointment as President in 1984 made him the first Southern Connecticut State University graduate to become president of his alma mater. Prior to assuming the presidency, Mr. Adanti served from 1981-1984 as vice president for university affairs for the Connecticut State University system, which comprises four separate university campuses.
