Birman Managed Care, Inc. Prepares for Growth Opportunities, New Physician Leaders are Selected.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1997--BIRMAN MANAGED CARE, INC. (NASDAQ/NNM: BMAN) announced today that a new physician team has been appointed as part of the Company's plans for future growth. Heading-up the new structure is Rockey Talley, MD, Senior VP and Chief of Professional Services. Dr. Talley is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has an impressive executive resume.

In his new position, Dr. Talley will oversee the Company's Quality Management Program (QMP) Professional Services operations. He will also be responsible for assisting in the development of a new product line to be announced later this Fall. The new product will focus on the application of the QMP in the physician office environment. Prior to joining BIRMAN MANAGED CARE, Dr. Talley served as President of the Board and President of the Joint Policy Board at Southern Plains Medical Center in Chickasha, OK.

Elizabeth Lauber, MD and Jeff Slepin, MD will oversee clinical Professional Services operations in the Northern and Southern Regions. In addition to running a successful practice in internal medicine for the past 13 years, Dr. Lauber graduated with an MBA from Indiana University, South Bend, IN. Dr. Slepin comes to BIRMAN MANAGED CARE with 12 years of clinical experience having served as the Assistant Medical Director at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA.

Betty Bibbins, MD will serve as VP of Medical Administration. Dr. Bibbins most recently served on the Board of Directors for Kentucky Center for Health Education in Louisville, KY, where she worked in private practice.
