Birks & Mayors Inc. Reports a 4% Increase in Holiday Sales.

The amount a seller receives from the buyer after costs associated with the sale are deducted.

Notes:
This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight
 increased 4% to $91 million during the 2006 holiday season, the period from November 5, 2006 through December 30, 2006. This compares to net sales of $87 million during last year's holiday season, the period from October 30, 2005 through December 24, 2005. Comparable store sales (stores open in the same period in both the current and prior year and at constant exchange rates) increased 3% during this year's holiday season. The increase in comparable store sales growth was driven by a 9% increase in comparable store sales in the Company's Canadian market, while comparable store sales in the Company's U.S. market decreased by 1% from the prior year.
