Birkenhead slipping up.


Darlington 21 Birkenhead Park Birkenhead Park is a public park in the centre of Birkenhead, Merseyside. It was designed by Joseph Paxton and opened on 5 April 1847. It is commonly regarded as the first civic public park anywhere in the world.  8

BIRKENHEAD ran out of steam in the second-half against a fired up Darlington who needed to win to ensure North One survival.

The visitors were in with a chance at 14-8 midway through the second period but could not make enough use of the wind at their backs and conceded a crucial try from a forward melee in the 68th minute.

It was a much changed Park side.

 managed a second half penalty but the visitors did not really look like coming out on top.
