Inc. is pleased to report that two of four initial diamond drill holes have been completed on the follow-up program on the Mampon discovery on the Dunkwa property in Ghana. The previously announced (Nov. 13) results of a reverse circulation drilling program showed continuous gold mineralisation in bedrock averaging 6.3 grams over 45 meters true width. Included in this section are two central holes which bottomed in high grade mineralisation: 15.8 g/t Au over 13 m and 14.8 g/t Au over 8 m. One of these holes (no14) averages 7.07 g/t Au over its entire length of 59 metres. The oxide/sulphide transition occurs at a vertical depth of approximately 30 metres below surface. The cores are currently being sampled and first assay results should be available by Christmas. The drilling of the remaining two holes is continuing and will test extensions to the north and south of the discovery section. Hemlo Gold has the right to acquire a 65 percent interest in the Dunkwa property by spending up to Cdn $7,000,000. over a period of four years. Further, Hemlo Gold must purchase Cdn $150,000 worth of treasury shares of Birim in each the next three years and will acquire no interest until all financing obligations have been met. Birim is the operator during the exploration phase and has the option of being carried through to full feasibility.
