The Kuri gold anomaly is situated on the Kuri Prospecting Licence, which is currently being converted from the Bui Reconnaissance Licence to enable drilling activities to commence. As referenced in the Company's new release dated January 20, 2005, a newly developing node of galamsey activity (1,400 meters northeast of the Kuri anomaly) prompted the expansion of the sampling grid since it was expected to have strike continuity with the Kuri gold-in-soil trend.Within this distance, a 1,000 meter extension to the main anomaly has been defined bringing the total length of the target to 6,000 metres. Approximately 265 soil samples were collected from a 200 meter by 50 meter soil grid that was specifically planned to investigate the proposed continuity of the Kuri gold anomaly to the new galamsey workings. The extension to the Kuri anomaly is defined by soil results greater than 50 ppb gold (see attached map) and the maximum value reported was 2,540 ppb gold. The soil sampling was supervised and completed by internationally recognized exploration consultants RSG RSG Revenue Support Grant (UK) RSG Recovery Storage Group (Microsoft Exchange) RSG Ready, Set, Go! RSG Regional Support Group RSG Research Study Group (NATO) Global Pty Ltd.Richard Hyde (BSc, MAIG MAIG Mayors Against Illegal Guns ), Manager for RSG Global in West Africa and a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101, supervised and directed all work associated with the soil sampling program. Soil samples were submitted to SGS SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SGS Symantec Gateway Security (appliance) SGS School of Graduate Studies SGS Subgrid Scale SGS Singapore Government Securities SGS Shell Global Solutions (Ghana) Laboratories for aqua regia digestion and gold analysis by atomic absorption.Appropriate quality control samples (duplicates, standards and blanks) were inserted into the sampling sequence. In addition to lithological and structural mapping on the Kuri anomaly, a drill program in excess of 10,000 meters is being planned to investigate the weathered zone of a portion of the Kuri anomaly. Birim Goldfields Inc. is a royalty-based exploration company and trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) Canada's largest stock exchange, trading approximately 1,200 company stocks and 33 options. under the symbol BGI.
