Bipin Vora Receives 2003 Chemical Engineering Practice Award from American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

American Institute of Chemical Engineers The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is a professional organization for chemical engineers.[1] AIChE was established in 1908 with the purpose of establishing chemical engineers as a profession independent from chemists and mechanical  (AIChE) President Diane Dorland presented UOP Sr. Corporate Fellow Bipin Vora with the 2003 Chemical Engineering Practice Award at the AIChE Annual Meeting in San Francisco in November.

Vora generously shares credit for the many successes in his 34-year career. "It was not me alone doing it," he says. "It was a team of people. I just happened to be the vehicle to move it forward." Vora came to work for UOP in 1967 as a development engineer working in plant start-ups, process design, project coordination and technical management. In 2001 he achieved the title of Sr. Corporate Fellow, the highest technical honor at UOP.

Founded in 1876 at New York University, the ACS currently has over 160,000 members at all degree-levels and in  Award in Industrial Chemistry in 2002. He serves on the advisory councils for the Department of Chemical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology Illinois Institute of Technology, in Chicago; coeducational; founded 1940 by a merger of Armour Institute of Technology (founded 1892) and Lewis Institute (1896). , Chicago, and the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.

Vora earned a B. Sc. in chemistry from the K.C. College of Science at the University of Mumbai Most of the colleges in the city of Mumbai (Bombay) and the districts of Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg are affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The University of Mumbai offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees to students.  and a B.S. and an M.S., both in chemical engineering, from the University of New Mexico. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Illinois.
