:BZHM) today announced the mid-point results of its clinical efficacy study for treating the signs and symptoms of aging facial skin with a new bioengineered skin care treatment.

Dermtech International of San Diego, an independent testing facility, is conducting the study on Biozhem's behalf.

A panel of 36 women between the ages of 35-55 showed significant changes in the appearance of aged skin. The five most prominent parameters were skin roughness, number of fine line wrinkles, depth of wrinkles, space between wrinkles, and "shadowing" skin luminance The amount of brightness, measured in lumens, that is given off by a pixel or area on a screen. For example, dark red and bright red would have the same chrominance, but a different luminance. . Subjects were instructed to apply the cream to the peri-ocular fine (crow's feet) lines around the eyes twice daily for 45 days.

Clinical photography and image analysis from silicon replicas taken around the eyes revealed a 45% decrease in the depth of fine line wrinkle appearance as compared WITH the control. Overall skin roughness appeared to improve by 72% vs. the control. The bioengineered product reduced the overall appearance of total fine line wrinkles by 58% vs. the control.

John Riemann, chairman of the board of Biozhem, stated: "We are very excited that our new product appears to produce such dramatic results in such a short period of time. We are actively preparing for the launch of our new bioengineered product line, which will be commercially available this summer."

The Biozhem anti-aging skin care line, Cell Life Protein B Complex, has as its active ingredient NouriCel(TM). NouriCel(TM) is produced by Advanced Tissue Sciences of La Jolla, Calif.
