Biovector Therapeutics Appoints Michael Rosenblatt to Board of Directors.

Biovector Therapeutics SA, a private company focused on drug delivery systems targeting modern vaccines and gene delivery, today announced the appointment of Dr Michael Rosenblatt to the Company's Board of Directors, effective immediately, bringing the number of board members to nine.

Currently on the Board of Directors of Arqule (Nasdaq NM: ARQL) and Creative BioMolecules (Nasdaq NM: CBMI), Dr Rosenblatt brings considerable expertise in Research & Development. Dr. Rosenblatt enjoyed an 8-year career with Merck where he acquired considerable experience in all aspects of the pharmaceutical business, including product development, research and development and management. From 1989 to 1992, Dr. Rosenblatt was Senior Vice President of Research at Merck Sharp & Dohme Research Laboratories. In 1992, he headed the worldwide development team for alendronate (FOSAMAX), Merck's (NYSE: MRK) product for osteoporosis and bone disorders. In addition, he directed pre-clinical efforts in molecular biology, bone biology and calcium metabolism, virology, cancer research, lipid metabolism, cardiovascular research, and medicinal chemistry located in the United States, Japan, and Italy. In Japan, he had responsibility for clinical research and drug development. In leading most of Merck's international research efforts, he established two major basic research institutes, one in Tsukuba, Japan, and one near Rome, Italy. He also headed Merck Research's worldwide University and Industry Relations Department.
