Biotechnology Industry Organization.


Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), Washington, D.C., announces that its president, Carl Feldbaum, will retire this year. Feldbaum has served the organization for 11 years and has been offered the position as president emeritus for BIO. "Carl Feldbaum is one of the pioneers of the biotechnology industry," said BIO's chairman, Richard Pops, CEO of Alkermes Inc. "Through his leadership of BIO he has had a profound impact on the evolution of this young industry." A committee will conduct a search for Feldbaum's successor.
