Income and losses from continuing operations are reported separately if any segments have been discontinued during the increased 12 percent to $8,842,000 from $7,870,000 in 1998. 1999 net income increased 72 percent to $714,000, or $0.09 per share, versus $414,000, or $0.05 per share, for the previous year. Income from continuing operations before taxes was $740,000 in 1999 compared with $436,000 in 1998. After tax income from continuing operations was $400,000, or $.05 per share, in 1999 versus $435,000, or $.05 per share, for the previous year. Fourth quarter sales from continuing operations increased 20 percent to $2,366,000 in 1999 versus $1,964,000 in 1998. Biopool reported an increase in net income to $137,000, or $0.02 per share, from $44,000, or $0.01 per share, for the same period a year ago.
