devices, which keeps millions of people from benefiting from MRI scans. Biophan has demonstrated reduced image artifacts of implantable devices (such as pacemaker leads) and minimally invasive tools (such as guidewires and catheters) and reduced device heating using nanomagnetic thin film coatings. Biophan recently announced its new NanoView(TM) technology which will utilize nanomagnetic particles as contrast agents that preferentially bind to tissues of diagnostic interest, creating improved detail and contrast in images. NanoView is intended to improve signal intensity and permit the use of multiple markers.

Biophan CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Michael Weiner will describe how Biophan learned about research being conducted at Alfred University by Professor Xingwu Wang, and decided to invest in developing this technology. Biophan is working with Dr. Wang's company, Nanoset, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

LLC - Logical Link Control
, which was established to commercialize several of Dr. Wang's inventions. Nanoset has two issued U.S. patents, two more have been allowed and will issue soon, and another twelve are pending. Biophan holds the worldwide exclusive rights to these patents for all medical applications. Mr. Weiner will outline other nanotechnology capabilities that may soon impact the biomedical device industry.

About Biophan Technologies

Biophan Technologies develops and markets cutting-edge technologies used to make biomedical devices--such as cardiac pacemakers, surgical and diagnostic tools--safe and compatible with magnetic resonance imaging magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), noninvasive diagnostic technique that uses nuclear magnetic resonance to produce cross-sectional images of organs and other internal body structures.  (MRI) equipment. The technology is also being used to create enhanced MRI contrast agents. Committed to growth through innovation and developmental leadership, Biophan and its licensors have four issued U.S. patents and over fifty patents pending, in areas including nanomagnetic particle coatings, radio frequency filters, polymer composites, and photonics. Biophan's technology will help realize its goal of one day making all biomedical devices capable of safely and successfully working with MRI.
