Bionx implants announces the commencement of two patent infringement lawsuits.


Bionx Implants, Inc. (Blue Bell, PA; 215-643-5000)) announced that it has filed complaints in two separate patent infringement lawsuits. Both complaints charge infringement of a patent covering the company's Meniscus Arrow. The first suit names Linvatec Corporation as a Defendant and has been brought in the District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The other lawsuit has been commenced against Innovasive Devices Inc. in the District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Both federal lawsuits seek injunctive relief and damages.

Bionx is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of self-reinforced, resorbable polymer implants including screws, pins, arrow, plates and stents for use in a variety of applications including orthopaedic surgery and craniofacial surgery.
