The Model BIO-1000 System is the first and only non-invasive, non-drug option cleared for marketing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of osteoarthritis osteoarthritis

The BIO-1000 System incorporates a soft Velcro wrap around the knee along with a signal generator A signal generator, also known variously as a test signal generator, function generator, tone generator, arbitrary waveform generator, or frequency generator  which delivers a proprietary electrical stimulus that reduces pain and improves function in the treated arthritic joint.

Twenty million Americans suffer from OA of the knee and more than six million remain symptomatic despite drug therapy. Currently, more than 100 medical centers in the U.S. are prescribing the Model BIO-1000(TM) System. Since its marketing launch in November 2003, the company has noted a growing acceptance of the System among physicians, patients and third-party payors.

In March, BioniCare presented data suggesting the BIO-1000(TM) System can defer total knee replacement by up to four years in patients with moderate to severe OA. The company also recently acquired an option for the development of Gene Regulation technology (RGR RGR Roger

BioniCare Medical Technologies, Inc. develops and markets medical devices to meet the growing needs of more than 70 million Americans who suffer from the painful complications of arthritis. Through the application of its patented technology, BioniCare is committed to the development of safe and effective treatment alternatives to significantly improve the quality of patients' lives, and extend those benefits to a broader range of therapeutic indications.
