, Inc. The first hogs were placed in the barns served by the system last week and the system will be fully operational by the end of July. The system will treat and recycle the waste of 40,000 finishing hogs. Jon Northrop, Bion's Chief Executive Officer, said, "Bion's system can handle literally any size hog or dairy farm. In fact, larger farms allow us the flexibility to create different effects with the biology in the system."

The Bion Nutrient Management As defined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency[1], nutrient management is managing the amount, form, placement, and timing of application of nutrients (whether as animal waste, commercial fertilizer, or other form of nutrients) to plants.  System (Bion NMS) is a biological system that converts livestock waste into organic BionSolids. These solids are then processed into BionSoil(TM), a nutrient-rich, soil like product that the Company markets to organic growers, landscapers, home gardeners and others. The Company projects system soil production for this Circle Four project at 36,000 cubic yards of BionSoil per year within one year from system start-up.

Northrop added, "This new system is a glimpse into the future of Bion. Bion is both a waste management and a soil company. For the past few years our primary focus was on system technology and development. As the company grows, however, and more and more systems come on line, we will slowly become more of a soil manufacturer. Every new large hog or dairy system that comes on-line pushes the company toward increased soil production and sales."

Bion Environmental Technologies, Inc. designs and operates advanced organic waste and wastewater treatment systems for a variety of industrial and agricultural applications. Bion systems rely on patented biological and engineering processes with construction and maintenance costs significantly less than traditional technologies. The Company's primary focus is the livestock industry, providing proven solutions to the nutrient and odor management problems associated with large dairy and hog farms The Hog Farm is an organization considered to be America's longest running hippie commune. With beginnings as an actual collective hog farm in Tujunga, California, the group, founded in the 1960s, by a group of people including Wavy Gravy, evolved into a "mobile, . In almost all livestock applications, the waste is bioconverted into a nutrient-rich, organic material (BionSoil) which both Company and University sponsored growth studies have shown to have remarkable plant growth-enhancing characteristics. Research and test marketing indicates there is a substantial market for BionSoil products. The company currently has offices in California, Colorado, New York New York, state, United States
