Biomet Receives FDA Approval for Ceramic-On-Ceramic Hip System.

WARSAW, Ind. -- Biomet Inc. (NASDAQ:BMET) announced today that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration has issued an approval order for the Company's C2a-Taper(TM) Acetabular System, featuring ceramic-on-ceramic articulation and Biomet's Porous Plasma Spray (PPS(TM)) technology. The product launch will commence immediately.
