Biomet, Inc. (Nasdaq:BMET) announced today that its subsidiary, Implant Innovations, Inc. ("3i"), has introduced the newest addition to its OSSEOTITE family, the OSSEOTITE Certain Implant System. The OSSEOTITE Certain Implant System is the first internal-connection system offered by 3i and rounds-out the company's product offering of implant systems. Other 3i implants have incorporated an external-hex connection to secure the abutment that forms the core of the restored tooth to the implant.

The OSSEOTITE Certain Implant System provides clinicians the advantage of a significantly more efficient protocol, representing a state-of-the-art improvement over existing systems on the market. The new 3i system represents important progress in implant system design, technology and engineering.
