Perseus-Soros Biopharmaceutical Fund, L.P. exercised warrants to purchase 3,000,000 shares of Bioenvision common stock at a purchase price of $2.00 per share and SCO (The SCO Group, Lindon, UT, www.sco.com) A leading vendor of Unix operating systems for the x86 platform. SCO had also offered Linux, but abandoned the line in the spring of 2003. The SCO Group is the combination of two companies: Utah-based Caldera, Inc. Capital and its affiliates exercised warrants to purchase an aggregate of 938,333 shares of our common stock at a purchase price of $1.50 per share. The warrants were issued originally in a private placement of common stock and warrants in May 2002 and have been exercisable since that date. The warrants would have expired on May 7, 2007 if not exercised. As a result of the exercise of the warrants, Bioenvision received net cash proceeds of $7.4 million.
