BioTime Announces New Line of Credit.EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- BioTime, Inc. Normally a revolving LOC involves a firm commitment from the bank for a period of several years. Agreement (the "Credit Agreement") that increases the amount of the line of credit to $1,000,000 and extends the maturity date to April 30, 2008. Loans under the line of credit will bear interest at 12% per annum Per annum Yearly. . BioTime will use the line of credit for working capital purposes. The line of credit is collateralized by a security interest in BioTime's right to receive royalty and other payments under its License Agreement with Hospira, Inc. The line of credit may mature prior to April 30, 2008 if BioTime receives an aggregate of $2,000,000 through the sale of capital stock, the collection of licensing fees, signing fees, milestone fees, or similar fees in excess of $1,000,000, and funds borrowed from other lenders. In consideration for making the new line of credit available, BioTime issued to the investors who are providing the line of credit a total of 200,000 common shares.
