In Conjunction with Agreement with Artes Medical USA to Settle

BioSphere Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: BSMD), and its subsidiary, BSMD Ventures, Inc., today announced a settlement agreement with Artes Medical USA, Inc. to conclude their respective lawsuits regarding alleged patent infringement. The companies had each filed lawsuits in early February regarding United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America.
