BioSphere Medical Announces Appointment of Dr. Linda D. Bradley to Medical Advisory Board.

ROCKLAND, Mass. -- BioSphere Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSMD) ("BioSphere"), a medical device company that has pioneered the use of bioengineered microspheres to treat uterine fibroids, hypervascularized tumors, and vascular malformations by a minimally invasive, image-guided medical procedure called embolotherapy, today announced that Linda D. Bradley, M.D., FACOG has joined the Company's Medical Advisory Board.

Dr. Bradley is an internationally recognized gynecologic surgeon and an acknowledged expert in the field of operative hysteroscopy, alternatives to hysterectomy, uterine fibroid embolization triage, and conventional therapy for menstrual bleeding. She is a gynecologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, where she is also a member of the Board of Governors, and is Director of The Fibroid and Menstrual Disorders Center (which permits "one-stop evaluation" for abnormal uterine bleeding) and Director of Hysteroscopic Services. Dr. Bradley is Chair of the OB/GYN section of the National Medical Association, is the author of numerous articles on women's health issues, and currently serves as an Editorial Advisory Board member for the Journal of American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She has been an invited lecturer at more than 300 symposia, conferences and meetings around the world, has been named to numerous regional and national "Best Doctors" lists, and has been interviewed extensively about women's health issues in the national media. Dr. Bradley earned her B.A. from Vassar College and her M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
